Beverly Hills, Florida – At 4:19 a.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025, Citrus County Fire Rescue responded to a residence located on West Goldentuft Court in Beverly Hills due to a reported fire.

The Engine 20 crew from the Pine Ridge fire station arrived first on scene to find that the homeowner had already safely exited the home with her dog. An attack of the fire was initiated by stretching a hose line to the left side of the residence. Crews made entry into the home and quickly extinguished a fire that was located in the area of the kitchen sink and surrounding cabinets.

Other units assisting included the Rescue 23 crew, also from the Kensington fire station in Lecanto, and the Squad 7 crew from the Connell Heights fire station in Crystal River.

Ventilation efforts cleared the home of smoke. Fire rescue disconnected the home's electricidal power at the breaker, and the power company also responded to the location to further secure the service. The fire was fully extinguished, and all hazards were mitigated. The last unit cleared the scene at 5:24 a.m.
