Ocala bicyclist killed in crash with sedan driven by Citrus Springs woman

Marion County, Florida - A fatal traffic crash occurred in the Ocala, Florida area at 12:45 a.m. on Sunday, October 5, 2025. The crash occurred on County Road 326, approximately 1 mile west of Interstate 75. 

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 48 year-old woman from Citrus Springs, Florida was driving a Ford Fiesta sedan, traveling west on County Road 326, when a bicyclist, a 26 year-old man from Ocala, Florida, traveled across the roadway into the direct path of the sedan. The front of the sedan struck the bicyclist, causing fatal injuries. 

The bicyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced deceased at the scene of the traffic incident. The driver of the sedan, who was wearing a seatbelt, was not injured.
