FWC to host public meeting on the Orange Creek Basin, Oct. 16

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) will host a public meeting on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. ET to discuss FWC activities and conditions on Orange, Lochloosa and Newnans lakes. The meeting will also include guest speakers from Delta Waterfowl.

The meeting will be held at Sun Retreats Ocala Orange Lake Recreation Hall (formerly Grand Lakes RV Resort),located at 18545 NW 45th Avenue in Citra, Florida   32113

Meeting Agenda:
5:30 p.m.: Doors Open
6:00 p.m.: Updates on FWC Activities and Lake Conditions
6:30 p.m.: Break
6:45 p.m.: Presentation by Delta Waterfowl with Local Chapter Updates
8:00 p.m.: End Meeting
