Homosassa woman, run over by truck/trailer, dies in Crystal River

Florida Highway Patrol (FHP)

Crystal River, Florida - A female pedestrian was killed as the result of a traffic accident that occurred at 11:08 p.m. on Friday, June 20, 2025, in Crystal River.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 44 year-old man from Homosassa, Florida was driving a GMC pickup, towing a utility trailer, traveling east on NW 19th Street.

West of NW 13th Street, a 42 year-old woman from Homosassa - who for unknown reasons was running alongside of the truck and trailer combination - fell and was struck by the trailer tires. 

The female pedestrian suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
