Crystal River, Florida - On Tuesday, May 16, 2023, 45 year-old Crystal River resident Lisa Marie O'Callaghan was arrested as the result of an investigation conducted by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) Tactical Impact Unit (TIU).
In early April 2023, TIU members received information that narcotics were being sold at 4330 N. Mitchum Point in Crystal River. TIU detectives verified the information and identified Lisa O'Callaghan as the suspected narcotics dealer. An arrest warrant was obtained for Lisa O'Callaghan, along with a search warrant for her residence.
On May 16, TIU detectives served the search warrant at Ms. O'Callaghan's home. O'Callaghan was detained, along with Garry Lynn Inman, a man who was located inside a recreational venhicle (RV) parked at the back of the property. Detectives verified Inman's identity and learned that he was wanted on charges from the State of Michigan.
During the search of O'Callaghan's residence, detectives located trafficking amounts of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and crack cocaine, along with numerous items of drug equipment and paraphernalia.
CHARGES
Lisa O'Callaghan was arrested on a warrant for trafficking in fentanyl, three counts of sale of a controlled substance (fentanyl), and child neglect. She was additionally charged with trafficking in fentanyl, possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell, possession of drug manufacturing equipment, possession of drug paraphernalia, and owning a structure for the purpose of trafficking in controlled substances. Her total bond was set at $85,000.
Garry Inman was arrested as a Fugitive from Justice on the Michigan warrant: three counts of criminal sexual conduct, and one count of child abuse. Inman's bond was set at none.
SHERIFF'S COMMENT
Citrus County Sheriff Michael Prendergast commented on O'Callaghan's arrest, "Fentanyl is the single deadliest drug threat our nation has ever encountered and, yet again, we find ourselves having to remove another dangerous drug trafficker from our streets who believes that it's okay to peddle their deadly fentanyl in our community while carelessly endangering the life of a minor. Fentanyl is a dangerous weapon of mass-destruction that has no place in our community, and we will remain vigilant in our pursuit of those who traffick this lethal poison."
