Shooting leaves two dead outside Citrus Springs, FL assisted living facility

Citrus Springs, Florida - According to a press release issued at 10:37 a.m. on Friday morning, May 12, 2023, Citrus County Sheriff's Office deputies were on the scene, investigating a shooting incident that had just occurred in which two people were pronounced deceased, outside an assisted living facility, Always There 4 You, Inc., located at 907 W. Anderson Lane in Citrus Springs.
Deputies cordoned off the area where the shooting has occurred. Preliminary information indicated that a man had shot a woman, outside of the facility, before turning the firearm on himself in what appears to be domestic incident with no threat to the community.
According to Brittney Carman, Community Relations Supervisor with the CCSO, officials investigating this case will provide additional details when available.
