Two notable Levy County cases resolved in court with guilty pleas

Levy County, Florida - Two arrests made by Levy County Sheriff's Office detectives in 2022 recently came to resolution when both defendants pleaded guilty in Levy County Circuit Court and were later transferred to the custody of the Florida Department of Corrections (DOC).

Cole Langston, 22, of Williston, Florida

On Mach 14, 2022, Cole Langston, now 22, a Williston, Florida resident, was arrested in Gainesville, Florida by the Alachua County Sheriff's Office on a Levy County warrant that was issued as a result of his participation in a shooting incident that occurred in Williston on March 11, 2022. Since that time, Langston had been held in custody at the Levy County Detention Bureau. On January 18, 2023, Langston entered a guilty plea to the lesser offense of shooting into a dwelling and was sentenced to a ten-year sentence with the Floorida DOC, followed by two years of community control and three years of probation. He was transferred to the DOC on January 25, 2023.

Jon B. Flores, 37, of Trenton, Florida

On March 2, 2022, Jon B. Flores, now 37, a Trenton, Florida resident, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, charged with possession of and production of child pornography. Since his arrest, Flores has been held in custody at the Levy County Detention Bureau. On December 14, 2022, Flores entered a guilty plea for possession and production of child pornography and was sentenced to serve two years with the Florida DOC and was transferred there on January 31, 2023.
