Samia Nicole Alston, 26, of an unstated location possibly within or near Hampton County, SC, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Jan. 26, on an out of county warrant (no bond ).
Darcell Ballentine, 31, of Archer, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Jan. 25, charged with driving while license suspended, a repeat offense ($1,000 bond).
Virgil L. Bearden, 44, of Trenton, FL, was arrested by the Chiefland (Florida) Police Department, Jan. 29, charged with grand theft of $300 or more but less than $5,000 ($25,000 bond).
Cecil Eugene Boykin, 37, of Gainesville, FL, was arrested by the Chiefland (Florida) Police Department, Jan. 25, charged with driving while license suspended, a repeat offense ($5,000 bond).
Michael Anthony Cama, 37, of Williston, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Jan. 26, charged with driving while license suspended, first offense ($1,500 bond).
Shane D. Carnes, 28, of Bronson, FL, was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol, Jan. 22, charged with failing to register a motor vehicle, possession of cocaine, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, and possession of drug equipment ($55,000 bond).
UPDATED: Jose Santiago Colon, 40, of Bronson, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office (LCSO), Jan. 26, charged with two counts of animal cruelty ($20,000 bond).
On Jan. 8, 2023, the LCSO was dispatched to NE 88th Lane in Bronson, due to a complaint of animal cruelty at the location. Deputies found five dogs without shelter, chained to trees with short chains - which had restricted the airway of one of the dogs - and six chickens confined in dog crates. The food and water bowls were covered in dirt and leaves.
The complainant told deputies that they'd seen two vehicles and heard the dogs at the location on Jan. 5, 2023, and they'd not heard or seen any other vehicles at the property since that time. All the dogs were consideraly underweight.
A Levy County Animal Control Officer contacted a deputy with information that Mr. Colon had claimed ownership of the animals.
On Jan. 16, Mr. Colon told a deputy that he'd last been to the property on Jan. 5, when he'd noticed that someone had fed the dogs with cat food, and he'd also checked their water. The report stated that Mr. Colon told the deputy that he loves his animals and lives out of his car in Spring Hill, Florida. The report also stated, due to being chained and in cages, that the animals had no way of surviving on their own, and the dog with the restricted airway likely would have died by hanging had he not been located and removed from the location.
John Anthony Crichton, 43, of Dunnellon, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Jan. 28, on an out of county warrant (no bond).
Richard Allen Curry, 52, of Williston, FL, was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol, Jan. 25, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs with damage to property ($20,000 bond).
Clayton Ray Fletcher, 37, of Bronson, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Jan. 25, charged with driving while license suspended, a repeat offense; and resisting or obstructing an officer without violence ($35,000 bond).
Krista Rose Geiger, 21, of Ocala, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Jan. 25, on an out of county warrant (no bond).
Michael Lee Hannigan, 40, of Trenton, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Jan. 27, charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle, and petit theft of $100 or more but less than $300 ($27,500 bond).
Steven Garrett Head, 54, of Belleview, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Jan. 26, to be held for court at the Levy County Detention Bureau (no bond).

Keith Christain Kreisher, 41, of Williston, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Jan. 28, charged with battery ($5,000 bond).
Arin McNulty, 40, of Cedar Key, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Jan. 24, charged with trespassing on property other than a structure or conveyance, and grand theft of $300 or more but less than $5,000 ($165,000 bond).
