UPDATED: Cooper Grant Johnathan Alson, 26, of Inglis, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Jan. 3, charged with battery ($25,000 bond). The report stated, about 9:17 pm, that a deputy was dispatched to a SE 20th Ave., Inglis residence due to a report of a physical disturbance. The deputy arrived at the residence to hear yelling coming from inside the residence and find two males in a physical altercation, with Alson on the victim's back, holding him in a chokehold. The two men were separated, then questioned. They told the deputy that Alson had punched the other man with a closed fist, hitting the left side of his face near his left eye and cheekbone, and the other man attempted to punch Alson back, as Alson attempted to punch him, but their swings both blocked the other's punches, and the fight went to the ground where Alson placed the victim into a choke-hold until law enforcement arrived on scene. The deputy reported that the victim had injuries to the left side of his face, and redness to his neck, and Alson was determined to be the primary aggressor.

According to the arrest report, a 911 caller reported that a woman was on top of a vehicle, yelling that someone was taking off with her child. Deputies arrived on scene, about 10:01 pm, to find a woman and Mr. Baker. Baker told a deputy that he and the woman have been involved in a five-year-long romantic relationship and have a one year-old child together. He said that he got into the driver's seat of the vehicle, with the child, and the woman got onto the hood of the vehicle and unsuccessfully attempted to break out the windshield. He said, when the woman didn't get off the vehicle, that he gassed the vehicle, which caused it to spin out in a semi-circle, in an attempt to sling off the woman from the vehicle's hood. UPDATED: Two men, 43 year-old Aaron Moses Beam, IV, of Dunnellon, FL, and 33 year-old Leon Rhea Maclin, of Inglis, FL, were arrested on numerous charges by the Levy County Sheriff's Office (LCSO), Jan. 8, during an incident that occurred in the parking lot of Our Pub, located at 253 Hwy. 40 West in Inglis, FL.
According to the arrest reports, about 12:08 am, a deputy on patrol heard cursing and yelling, and pulled into the parking lot to find Beam and Maclin holding alcoholic beverages, cursing and yelling. When questioned by the deputy if everything was okay, Beam and Maclin both responded with obscenities, and Beam made threats to the deputy and also against his family, falsely claiming, according to the report, that the deputy had run him over during a previous encounter, and he then placed his arm inside the deputy's vehicle, breaking the window plane with his hand, with his hand and fingers about an inch from the deputy's face.
The report stated that Mr. Maclin was also aggressive toward the deputy, yelling obscenities and assuming a fighting stance after the deputy pushed Beam away with the patrol vehicle's door. The deputy then pushed Maclin away, as he dodged a punch by Beam, and then wrestled Beam to the ground as he continued resisting the deputy with violence, and Maclin approached the deputy in an aggressive manner, with both hands balled into a fist, as a bystander pushed him away.
The deputy reported that Beam continued to threaten the deputy and his family, and continued to throw punches, striking the deputy's face once, biting his forearm twice, then scratching the area where he'd bitten him.
The deputy reported that Beam and Maclin were both clearly intoxicated, that the fighting occurred over a period of 23 minues, while approximately 15 "angry and hostile customers" surrounded them, "making anti-law enforcement statements." Bystanders contacted 911 for the deputy, asking for backup units, which arrived on scene from both the LCSO and the Citrus County Sheriff's Office (CCSO).
During the confrontation, Beam kicked the windows and bars in the back seat of the patrol car, and Maclin also threatened to harm the deputy, indicating with his stance that he would use his beer bottle as a weapon. Deputies used a Taser (electronic weapon) to stun drive both men into cooperation.
The report stated that three family members of Beam arrived on scene, and one was placed under arrest due to ignoring the commands of deputies to stay away from the area. The reports also stated that Beam kicked the inner groin area of another deputy's right leg.
