Citrus Springs shooting leaves woman dead and suspect critically injured
Citrus County, Florida - According to Madeline Scarborough, Community Relations Specialist with the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, on Saturday afternoon, November 12, 2022, deputies with her agency responded to a residence located on W. Tee Circle in Citrus Springs, Florida, due to the report of a domestic violence incident that involved a firearm.
Upon their arrival to the home, deputies found a 64 year-old woman, who was pronounced deceased on scene, along with the suspect, a 74 year-old man, who had a self-inflicted wound. As of early Monday afternoon, November 14, the suspect was in critical condition.
Detectives are investigating this incident, and no further details can be released at this time.
