Levy County Detention Bureau (LCSO) - 9150 NE 80th Ave., Bronson, Florida

UPDATED:  Matthew Christopher Adams, 27, of Bronson, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Sept. 29, charged with criminal mischief with property damages greater than $200 but less than $1,000, burglary of an unoccupied dwelling during a state of emergency, and possession of drug equipment ($135,000 bond). 
        The arrest report stated that a deputy and his K9 partner and backup units were dispatched to a business located in the 400 block of E. Hathaway Ave. in Bronson, with the complaint of a burglary in progress. 
        A witness reported that she saw a man, later identified as Adams, kick in a door, and the man was still inside the business. A door on the west side of the building had a damaged door frame (damages estimated at $150), but the door would not open due to items behind it, and entry into the business had been made via a door facing E. Hathaway Ave. (damages estimated at $1,500). 
        The witness reported that she heard the man inside the business talking with someone, and the man initially told a deputy that a female and children were inside the business, but no one else was found inside the building.         
        The arrest report stated that the deputy took suspect Adams into custody before he had time to take any items, and the business owner looked around the business but was unable to determine if anything had been taken. Adams was found to be in possession of a clear plastic straw that contained methamphetamine residue. The report also stated, that at the time of the burglary, Levy County had been declared under a State of Emergency (due to Hurricane Ian), and Adams had four previous convictions for burglary.

Octavio Grimaldo Bernal Peralta, 53, of Morriston, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Oct. 2, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs ($1,000 bond).

James Jennings Blevins, III, 41, of Old Town, FL, was arrested by the Chiefland (Florida) Police Department, Sept. 28, charged with aggravated assault causing bodily harm or disability, and resisting or obstructing an officer without violence ($35,000 bond).

Cheryl Lynn Chaney, 35, of Bradford, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Sept. 27, charged with two counts of probation violation (no bond).

Barry Dean Coker, 60, of Williston, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Oct. 1, on an out of county warrant (no bond).

Damon Tyler Conner, 30, of Chiefland, FL, was arrested by the Chiefland Police Department, Sept. 30, charged with battery, and disorderly conduct ($1,000 bond).

Nastassia Lynette Crumitie, 24, of Gainesville, FL, was arrested by the Gilchrist County (Florida) Sheriff's Office, Sept. 29, to be held at the Levy County Detention Bureau for another agency (no bond).

UPDATED:  Michael Steven Downhour, 67, of Inglis, Fl, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Sept. 26, charged with aggravated child abuse ($20,000 bond). 
        About 5:50 pm, a deputy arrived at an Inglis residence, due to the report that Downhour had threatened to kill a person at the residence, to find the victim sitting outside on the porch. The victim said, that during an argument inside the home, Downhour had thrown an ashtray at zir, which struck zir's left upper arm, then hit the kitchen counter and broke. The victim said that zir went outside and called 911, and meanwhile Downhour and another person inside the residence had cleaned up the glass. 
        A deputy found Downhour and another person inside the residence, sitting at the glass dining table. Downhour told the deputy that he began yelling at the victim, due to the victim being disrespectful of the other person inside the residence, and when the victim got in his face yelling at him, he became angry and smashed a butter dish (that was on the glass table) with his hand, although the table was not broken, and Downhour had no injuries to his hands. 
        The deputy reported that he observed broken glass on the kitchen counter that matched glass in the trash can, and due to inconsistencies in the statements of Downhour and the other person at the residence, Downhour was taken into custody.

UPDATED:  Nicholas Frazier, 26, of Bronson, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Oct. 1, as the result of a probable cause arrest affadivit for assault with intent to commit a felony and battery, he was additionally charged with resisting or obstructing an officer without violence ($80,000 bond).
        According to the arrest report, while a deputy was enroute to a NE 72nd St., Bronson residence with the arrest affidavit, to meet with a Depatment of Children and Families (DCF) investigator, the investigator informed the deputy that Frazier had had told her by phone that he'd left the residence and would meet with her later in the day, A short time later, the deputy observed Frazier's silver Chevrolet truck pull into the Marathon gas station and store, located at 399 N. Hathaway Ave. in Bronson. The deputy watched as Frazier exited the truck and walked inside the business. The deputy followed Frazier into the business, and as he attempted to take him into custody, according to the report, Frazier pulled away from the deputy, argued with and threatened to "have at it" with him, and also refused to obey commands, until the deputy used his taser (non-lethal electronic stun weapon) to take him into custody.

Alan Hastings, 78, of Trenton, FL, was arrested by the Alachua County (Florida) Sheriff's Office, Sept. 27, charged with two counts of failure to appear in court, with his bonds set at $1,000 and $2,000.

Keith Del Humphrey, 33, of Inglis, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Sept. 30, charged with failure to appear in court ($2,000 bond).

Fabian Leon, 37, of Port St. Lucie, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Oct. 2, on two out of county warrants (no bond).

Michael Lugo, 40, of Deland, FL, was arrested by the Chiefland (Florida) Police Department, Sept. 26, charged with battery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, and false imprisonment of a person under the age of 13 ($502,500 bond).

Christopher Mejia, 32, of Williston, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Sept. 29, charged with trespassing ($1,000 bond).

Billy Joe Patterson, 60, of Archer, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Sept. 27, charged with sexual predator reporting violations: failing to register as a sexual predator within 48 hours, failing to report a name or residence change, and failure to report the vacating of a permanent residence ($250,000 bond).

Jesse Prophit, 40, of Old Town, FL, was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol, Sept. 28, charged with driving while license suspended as an habitual offender ($5,000 bond).

Randall Michael Sarbaugh, 55, of Trenton, FL, was arrested by the Chiefland (Florida) Police Department, Sept. 25, charged with driving with an tag expired for longer than six months, and driving while license knowingly suspended or revoked (release on his own recognizance bond).

Bryan Christopher Sheffield, 37, of Williston, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Oct. 2, charged with battery ($500 cash bond).

Lorenzo Sims, 55, of Williston, FL, was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol, Sept. 30, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol with damage to property, and driving while license suspended - a repeat offense ($30,000 bond).

Nathan Allen Thacker, 47, of Williston, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Sept. 30, on two out of county warrants with his bonds set at $1,000 and $7,500.

Rhonda Lee Webb, 49, of Hernando, FL, was arrested by the Gilchrist County (Florida) Sheriff's Office, Sept. 29, to be held at the Levy County Detention Bureau for another agency (no bond).
