Three arrested in Bronson after high speed pursuit

Bronson, Florida - Three people were arrested in Bronson on Tuesday morning, June 7, 2022, as the result of an attempted traffic stop by LCSO Deputy Justin Arters.

About 1:00 am, Deputy Arters attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a sport utility vehicle, due to the vehicle traveling without the use of its headlights on U.S. Hwy. 27. Instead of stopping, the driver, 25 year-old Rebia Brown of Bronson, made an abrupt u-turn and accelerated to speeds in excess of 100 mph, attempting to elude Deputy Arters. Eventually, Ms. Brown stopped the vehicle, on Margaret Street in Bronson. Brown and her passengers were confronted by Deputy Arters and additional deputies who arrived on scene to assist him. Ms. Brown was immediately taken into custody.

In the back seat of the SUV, deputies found two small children, ages two and five, who were both unrestrained. Ms. Brown told deputies that they were her biological children.

According to a press release. during the pursuit, Deputy Arters observed the front seat passenger, 28 year-old Leneiall Sapp, also of Bronson, throwing items from the fleeing vehicle, by way of the passenger side window. Deputies recovered some of these items, which were identified as crack cocaine. Mr. Sapp was also arrested.

Another passenger inside the vehicle, 21 year-old Quantasia Delaine, of Gainesville, Florida, was found to be in possession of cocaine, and she was also placed under arrest.

Inside the vehicle, deputies located additional crack cocaine, along with marijuana and two firearms.

Charges:

Ms. Brown was charged with two counts of child endangerment, fleeing from law enforcement, and possession of cocaine ($175,000 bond). 

Mr. Sapp was charged with possession of cocaine, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon ($75,000 bond). 

Ms. Delaine was charged with possession of cocaine ($30,000 bond).
