Justin Allen Ausburn, 29, of Bronson, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 26, charged with driving while license suspended, second offense ($1,000 bond) and failure to have required endorsements on a driver's license (release on his own recognizance bond).

Brenda Sue Bass, 62, of Perry, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 27, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs ($2,500 bond).

Jamie Marie Blackburn, 38, of Old Town, FL, was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol, May 29, charged with driving while license suspended, second offense ($500 bond).

UPDATED:  Gary Dewayne Brown, 52, of Chiefland, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 26, charged with assault with intent to commit a felony, and aggravated battery causing bodily harm or disability ($650,000 bond). The arrest report stated that deputies arrived at a Chiefland residence, due to the report of a physical disturbance. Mr. Brown told deputies that he and the victim were fine and nothing was going on, and later told deputies that another man had come to the home and inflicted the injuries to the victim. However, the victim told a deputy, that during an argument, Brown had struck her over her left eye with a handgun. She told a deputy that Brown had pointed the handgun at her head and told her that he would end her, and she thought she was going to die, just before he struck her with the gun. The report documented that the victim had what appeared to be a pressure cut over her left eye, and her left eye was swollen, almost shut. The report stated that deputies located an empty gun case on the bed, but they did not locate a gun. 

Devyn Aaron Bruner, 30, of Chiefland, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 23, charged with child abuse without causing great bodily harm ($10,000 bond).

Donato E. Bruno, 36, of Williston, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 28, charged with battery ($5,000 bond).

UPDATED:  Joseph Lee Cook, 46, of Inglis, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 23, charged with fleeing from a law enforcement officer in pursuit with sirens activated, and violating his driver's license restrictions ($95,000 bond). According to the arrest report, a deputy, using Doppler radar, learned that Cook was traveling at speeds of 111 mph and 106 mph while driving west on Highway 40 West, near Daisy St., in Inglis. The deputy took off in pursuit and advised dispatch that the vehicle was traveling toward Marion County, FL. However, the vehicle turned right into the South Levy Recreation Park, and the deputy followed the vehicle to the end of the road, where Cook exited the vehicle and began walking away. The deputy ordered Cook, at gunpoint, to walk toward the deputy, which he did, and the deputy took him into custody. The deputy reported that the pursuit duration was three miles, that Cook refused to answer questions, but stated that he thought he'd lost the deputy when he drove into the park. The deputy also noted that Cook's driver's license was for business purposes only.

Kimber Leigh Foster, 29, of Chiefland, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 27, charged with probation violation (no bond).

Lauren Elizabeth Frazier, 35, of Bronson, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 23, on an out of county warrant ($2,000 bond).

Theresa Lynn Gay, 49, of Inglis, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 24, charged with failure to appear in court (no bond).

Charles Henry Haven, 30, of Newberry, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 27, on an out of county warrant ($5,000 bond).

UPDATED:  Kristine Lynn Hess, 38, of Inglis, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 25, charged with second degree petit theft with two previous theft convictions ($5,000 bond). The arrest report stated that the Ring security camera of a business located in the 400 block of Highway 40 West in Inglis, captured Ms. Hess riding a bicycle that was pulling a trailer, driving up to the location, removing a water hose from the spigot, placing it into the bicycle trailer and then leaving the area. The deputy met Ms. Hess at a Michigan St., Inglis location, where she was taken into custody. She told the deputy where he could find the bicycle, the bicycle trailer and the water hose, which was located at the residence where she told the deputy it would be found. Deputies also questioned Ms. Hess as a possible suspect or a person of interest in several Inglis burglary cases. Ms. Hess told deputies that she'd removed valuable coins and stamps, three battery operated drills and two saws from a travel trailer located at a saw mill located just north of Inglis, off U.S. Highway 19, that could be found at her travel trailer located on Michigan Dr. in Inglis. She gave permission for deputies to enter her residence and recover the items. The report stated that Hess was convicted of petit theft on Feb. 18, 2020 and convicted of petit theft from a merchant on March 15, 2021.

Sherman Edwin James, 53, of Dunnellon, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 24, charged with driving under the influence or alcohol or drugs, and resisting or obstructing an officer without violence ($25,000 bond).

Nathan Zachary Jordan, 19, of Trenton, FL, was arrested by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, May 28, charged with boating under the influence of alcohol ($2,500 bond).

Thomas Edward Laney, Jr., 64, of Williston, FL, was arrested by the Williston Police Department, May 28, charged with driving while license suspended as an habitual offender ($2,500 bond).

Phillip William Lazerte, 39, of Trenton, FL, was arrested by the Chiefland (Florida) Police Department, May 26, charged with resisting or obstructing an officer without violence ($10,000 bond). 

Savona Kavay Lee, 28, of Clearwater, FL, was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol, May 23, charged with driving while license suspended, second offense ($1,000 bond).

Eric James Marshall, 38, of Dunnellon, FL, was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol, May 24, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and driving under the influence with damage to property ($25,000 bond).

James Michael McElveen, 61, of Chiefland, FL, was arrested by the Chiefland Police Department, May 27, charged with driving while license knowingly suspended or revoked ($1,500 bond).

Raymond Onelio Otero, 47, of Williston, FL, was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol, May 27, charged with insurance fraud of less than $20,000 ($10,000 bond).

Steven Antoine Paulk, 36, of Chiefland, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 24, charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription ($10,000 bond).

Timothy Joseph Pekari, 59, of Cedar Key, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office (LCSO), May 28, after deputies were dispatched to the Anglers RV Park, located at 11951 SW Shiloh Rd. in Cedar Key, due to a personal property dispute between Mr. Pekari and a woman. Mr. Pekari, who remained inside an RV, contacted 911 while deputies were on scene attempting to resolve the dispute. Pekari informed telecommunicators that he was armed, and also made threats of violence against the deputies. When Pekari pointed his firearm at deputies, four deputies on scene discharged their firearms before Pakari abandoned his firearm and exited the RV. No one was injured. Mr. Pekair was taken into custody, charged with three counts of assaulting an officer, displaying a firearm during the commission of a felony, and resisting an officer with violence ($1,050,000 bond). He was also charged with resisting or obstructing an officer without violence, with his bond set at release on his own recognizace. According to the LCSO, a significant amount of evidence will be analyzed, which includes audio and video recordings, witness statements and physical evidence.

Jason Douglas Prough, 56, of Morriston, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 27, charged with driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol or drugs, third offense; and refusal to submit to DUI testing after a driver's license suspension ($30,000 bond).

Kyle Raudis, 26, of an unstated location of residence in Florida, was arrested by a probation officer, May 24, charged with three sex offender reporting violations ($150,000 bond). He was also charged with probation violation (no bond).

Elvia Rivera, 58, of Santa Anna, TX, was arrested by the Chiefland (Florida) Police Department, May 28, charged with driving under the influence or alcohol with property damage, carrying a concealed weapon or firearm, resisting or obstructing an officer without violence, and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription ($57,500 bond).

Felix Mashell Robinson, 58, of Alachua, FL, was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol, May 25, on two out of county warrants, with cash only bonds set at $525 and $1,198.

Bryan Roland, 41, of Chiefland, FL, was arrested by the Chiefland Police Department, May 26, charged with violating a condition of pretrial release on a domestic violence charge ($100,000 bond).

Richard Allen Sanders, 33, of Bronson, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 26, charged with fleeing from a law enforcement officer in pursuit with lights and sirens activated, driving thile license suspended, second offense; and possession of drug equipment ($32,000 bond).

James Michael Scott, 32, of Bronson, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 27, charged with battery, and resisting or interfering with a law enforcement officer without violance ($20,000 bond).

Johnny Calvin Sheppard, 54, of Chiefland, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 27, charged with probation violation (no bond).

UPDATED:  James Wesley ("Shorty") Short, 49, of Inglis, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 26, charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and possession of drug equipment ($31,000 bond). The report stated, that the owner of a travel trailer (who was incarcerated at the Levy County Detention Burreau in Bronson, FL) located on Michigan Dr. in Inglis, gave permission for deputies to search her trailer for items related to two Inglis burglaries, and Mr. Short was at her trailer when deputies arrived to search it for the stolen items. Deputies located, in plain view, two diabetic syringes on a counter, one that contained 30 units of methamphetamine, along with a clear plastic baggie and a metal pill container that contained 2.3 grams of methamphetamine. The report stated that Mr. Short was the only person inside the trailer when the items were found, and deputies located one new, unused, diabetic syringe in Mr. Short's pocket.

Larry Thomas Smith, 38, of Trenton, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 23, charged wih failure to appear in court ($2,000 bond).

Tiffany Ann Smth, 34, of Old Town, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 23, charged with driving while license suspended, second offense; and possession of drug equipment ($2,000 bond).

Harold Lee Strong, 62, of Chiefland, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 23, charged with probation violation (no bond).

Dylan East Tolin, 31, of Trenton, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 24, on two out of county warrants (no bond).

Donna Walker, 54, of Cross City, FL, was arrested by the Dixie County Sheriff's Office, May 27, charged with withholding support of children or spouse ($1,370 cash only bond).

Shawn Lawrence Witt, 54, of Tampa, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 28, charged with disturbing the peace (no bond).

Dayton Bradford Wyckoff, 20, of Morriston, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 24, charged with battery ($25,000 bond).

Larry Lorenzo Young, 47, of Bronson, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 27, charged with battery ($30,000 bond).
