Inverness man driving motorcycle seriously injured in Tampa crash

Hillsborough County, Florida - At 7:15 p.m. on October 14, 2025, a 19 year-old man from Inverness, Florida was seriously injured in a traffic crash that occurred in Tampa, Florida.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man from Inverness was operating a Yamaha R6 motorcycle, traveling south, at a high rate of speed, on the exit ramp from Interstate 275 onto East Bearss Avenue, when he departed from the exit ramp, then struck a concrete traffic and entered East Bearss Avenue, where he collided with a Chevrolet Silverado truck, towing a trailer, that was traveling west on East Bearss Avenue. The truck was driven by a 41 year-old man from Tampa.
Upon impact, the Inverness man was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered serious injuries.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
