Holiday, Florida - A 41 year-old man from Holiday, Florida died as the result of a traffic crash that occurred at 2:10 a.m. on Saturday morning, September 13, 2025, when his vehicle crashed into another vehicle, driven by a  24 year-old woman from Crystal River, Florida, who was not injured in the crash. 

The crash occurred on U.S. Highway 19, north of Tahitian Gardens Circle in Holiday (Pasco County).

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving a Kia Sorento, traveling south on U.S. Highway 19, in the center lane, when his vehicle traveled into the inside lane - which was occupied by a Honda Odyssey - and collided with the vehicle. The Honda Odyssey, also traveling south on  U.S. Highway 19, was driven by the Crystal River woman.

After the impact, the man's Kia Sorento came to rest in a ditch along the shoulder of the highway, while the woman brought the Honda Odyssey to a controlled stop.  

The driver of the Kia Sorento was transported to an area hospital where he later expired from injuries suffered during the crash.
