Williston crash results in death of motorcycle driver

Williston (Levy County), Florida - On Saturday, June 7, 2025, a 66 year-old Williston man driving a motorcycle was involved in a traffic crash and later died from his injuries at an area hospital. The driver of the other vehicle, a sedan, was not injured. The crash occurred at 9:50 p.m., at the intersection of NE 140th Court and U.S. Highway 27 Alternate (E. Noble Ave.) in Williston.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 26 year-old man from Bronson, Florida was driving a black sedan, traveling south on NE 140th Ct. The man driving the maroon-colored trike motorcycle was traveling south on U.S. Highway 27 Alternate. 

As the sedan approached the intersection of NE 140th Court, the driver attempted to enter the driveway of the Marathon gas station (located at 20651 U.S. Highway 27), traveling across the northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 27, and through the median break. As the sedan driver attempted to cross into the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 27, the sedan entered into the path of the motorcycle, which resulted in the front of the motorcycle striking the right side of the sedan. 

The driver of the motorcycle was transported to UF Health Hospital in Gainesville, Florida where he was pronounced deceased.

The Florida Highway Patrol press release stated that the driver of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet, while the driver of the sedan, who was not injured during the crash, was wearing a seatbelt.
