Deleon Cheevers, 23, of Morriston, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, September 29, 2025, charged with battery ($1,500 bond). According to the arrest report, the victim told a deputy that she had picked up Cheevers and was driving to another location, when she received a phone call, and when she did not answer Cheevers' question as to whom she was speaking with, Cheevers caused damage inside her vehicle, so she pulled over the vehicle, and when she still did not tell him who she was speaking with, Cheevers grabbed her neck with both hands and squeezed. The deputy reported that there were marks to both sides of the victim's neck, and the windshield wiper switch on the vehicle's steering column was broken.

According to the arrest report, the victim told a deputy that she and Wood had gotten into an argument, during which he placed his hands around her neck and choked her, on and off for a period of 20 to 25 minutes, and several times, she'd asked for him to let her leave the bedroom, but he'd refused, blocking the doorway with his body. She said that she eventually managed to leave the house, naked, and went to a neighboring home where she was provided with a t-shirt. She also contacted 9-1-1 from the neighbor's home, requesting help from law enforcement.
Wood told deputies that he and the victim had an argument, which became a "screaming match," but nothing physical had happened; he said that "all those scratches" on the victim's body were from he and the victim having sexual relations that became rough.
A deputy reported that the victim had "redness and minor abrasions" to her neck that were consistent with being choked.
Shawn Alexander Wright, 35, of Old Town, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, September 30, 2025, on two out of county warrants (no bond).
