UPDATED: Kevin Young, 45, of Inglis, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office (LCSO), September 11, 2025, charged with felony battery, false imprisonment of an adult, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, and obstruction of justice by tampering in a third degree felony proceeding ($250,000 bond).
The arrest report stated that a third person (not Young or the victim) had made the complaint to the LCSO, and that probable cause had been established that Young had committed felony battery on the same victim, September 7, 2025, but deputies had been unable to locate him.
A deputy arrived at the residence (on September 11, 2025), but the television was so loud, the deputy could not hear what the person inside was saying. The deputy located a person in the back yard who said he'd heard Young and the victim arguing. Eventually, the victim opened the front door, and although Young was hiding under a blanket, the deputy could see Young's face through a crack, and recognized him from previous encounters. Young was taken into custody.
According to a person at the residence, and the victim, when the deputy had knocked on the door, Young told the witness, in an aggressive, intimidating manner, to not answer the door, and he had also carried the victim, who was about two feet away from the door, to about ten to twelve feet away from the door. Upon questioning, Young admitted that this was true, according to the report.
The report stated that the battery charge was from the September 7, 2025, incident; no mention was made about the drug possession charge, and the other charges were related to the September 11, 2025 incident.
