Dylan Ravil Frantz (see mugshot), 33, of Inglis, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, August 6, charged with leaving the scene of a crash with property damage ($25,000 bond). A Levy County deputy responded to the scene of a hit and run vehicle crash on Highway 40 West in Inglis, near the intersection of N. Inglis Ave., and spoke with the driver of a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado truck pulling an empty boat trailer. The driver told the deputy that he was traveling east on Highway 40 West, when a gray Honda Civic car, traveling west on Highway 40 West, entered his lane of travel and struck his boat trailer, totaling it. He said, as he went to check on the two passengers inside the gray Honda Civic car, he heard a woman say, "(Expletive) Dylan, you wrecked my car, and you've been drinking," and before they (Chevrolet Silverado truck passengers) reached the gray Honda Civic, a black Explorer SUV pulled up, and the two Honda Civic passengers got into the SUV, which then drove away, traveling west on Highway 40 West. The deputy checked the license plate of the Honda Civic, still on scene, and went to the owner's address, where Mr. Frantz also lives, according to the arrest report. Mr. Dylan, who answered the door, had a "strong odor of alcohol on his breath,"according to the report, and the black Explorer SUV was parked at the rear of the residence. The owner of the Explorer SUV told the deputy that he'd picked up Frantz and the woman, but he knew nothing about the vehicle crash. The report stated that both the woman and Mr. Frantz appeared to be intoxicated, and both were confused, and although the deputy read his rights to him several times, Mr. Frantz told the deputy that he didn't understand them. The report stated that the Honda Civic and the boat trailer were towed away from the crash site.
